Russian is currently being piloted in 25 schools as a TY module. We recently evaluated this module and looked at whether or not there would be possible uptake in Senior Cycle if it was offered as a subject on the curriculum for Irish students. The preliminary findings of the evaluation would suggest not in the context of an already crowded curriculum and the traditional dominance of French but the preliminary evaluation can be found here.
